We provide world class healthcare for more than 200,000 children
and young people every year.
We are applying to become a Foundation Trust so that we can continue
to improve the services we offer, and ensure that we improve our
understanding about what our children and families want from us.
We will remain part of the NHS, but we believe we will gain the
following benefits:
- We will have stronger links with children, families, carers
and the communities we serve, so their needs will be at the heart
of everything we do.
- Our staff will have a greater involvement in shaping our future.
- We will be able to make crucial decisions about new services
and facilities more independently.
- We will have more say over how we manage our finances.
We hope to become a Foundation Trust in August 2008. Please consider becoming a member. We need your views and experiences to help us improve the services and care we give to children, young people and their families.
