I am a Health Care Assistant and I help the trained nurses when they are looking after you. I do a lot of different jobs on the ward such as serving meals, making beds, taking patients to other departments for treatment. I have to make sure I am nearby to help out the nurses when they are bathing and feeding babies.

I am a Staff Nurse; this means that I am a nurse who is specially trained to look after sick children. I nurse and care for all ages of children from tiny babies to teenagers. This means I have a variety of tasks that I have to complete each day. For example, I give medicines, change bandages and try to make patients feel as comfortable as possible. Another important part of my job is that I show student nurses how to look after sick children.
